Experiences
Nothing here runs to a timetable.
Some mornings you will ride out before the heat. Some afternoons you will do nothing at all. The horses, the kudu, the tracks and the wide evening sky are simply there, waiting for whenever you feel like it. A few things are worth arranging before you arrive — we have noted those below.
The Arabian horses · out in the paddock
The farm's own
The Arabians are part of daily life here. Watch them from the fence in the late afternoon, walk down with a handful of feed, or simply stand quietly while they come to you.
You do not have to ride to enjoy them. For many guests, this ends up being the part of the stay they talk about afterwards.
Experienced riders
The bush looks different from the back of a horse — quieter, closer, at the pace of the veld. Rides are suited to guests who already ride confidently and are comfortable out in open country.

Wildlife on the farm
The game is free-roaming and unhurried. Nothing is fenced into a show; you simply go out and see what the farm is doing that day.
Kudu in the veld · a guided drive
An hour or two out with someone who knows the ground, the animals and where the light falls best.
Please arrange in advance of your stay
A close, calm encounter with kudu that have grown used to the farm. Slow movements, low voices, no crowds.
Take your own vehicle along the farm tracks and stop wherever you feel like stopping.
Sundowner hour
A cloth laid out under the thorn trees, something cold, and the sun dropping behind the grass. It takes very little to arrange and it is usually the evening everyone remembers.

On foot
Farm roads and footpaths run out from the house in every direction. Take water, take your time, and walk until the house is out of sight. Early morning and late afternoon are the kindest hours.
Birdlife is good all year, and the tracks in the sand will tell you what passed through in the night.
