The house is yours alone while you are here. Spend slow mornings together, wander the farm, meet the animals and gather again around the braai when evening comes.

The heart of Soetblomspan is its old farmhouse. Its character has been kept intact while the rooms, kitchen and gathering spaces have been carefully restored for an easy, comfortable stay.

Our story • Since the 1930s
A Story Rooted in the Land
Long before Soetblomspan became a place to stay, it was simply home.
For generations, this land has carried stories of family, farming, changing seasons and life in the Namibian countryside. The old farmhouse, standing here since the 1930s, is part of that story.
Today, Soetblomspan continues that tradition by welcoming guests into a place where the pace is slower, the landscape is open, and the character of the farm has been carefully preserved.
Some things have changed with time. The feeling of the farm has not.

Life on the farm
Horses in the paddock, kudu in the long grass, walks and self-drive tracks across the veld, and a table laid out under the thorn trees as the sun drops. The farm is home to the Kalharabi Arabians, and guests are welcome down at the stables.
Out beyond the verandah
Nature unrestricted.
Wide horizons. Dusty tracks. Birds in the trees. Evenings that seem to last a little longer.

From Gobabis, take the B6 toward the Buitepos border.

Turn right at the Weighbridge crossing onto the C22.

After about 38 km, turn left at the T-junction onto the D1700.

Continue around 40 km on the maintained gravel road. The farm is on your left.
The road is suitable for sedans. Drive carefully and watch for warthog, small antelope and kudu.

Yes. The whole farmhouse is booked for your group alone — no shared spaces with other guests.
Are children welcome?+
Very. Children 0–6 stay free and children 7–12 pay the full per-person rate. Please supervise little ones around the splash pool.

No. The farm is sedan-friendly from Gobabis via the C22 and D1700.
